Patsy Bazemore:

I went to work for VEPCO in 1960 – Secretary for the Safety Department working for a manager and two supervisors.  I got married in 1961 and continued working until we were transferred to North Carolina in 1962. I traveled with the military for 8 years and worked at various jobs in each city that I lived. They included Pyrofax Gas Co. in Wilmington, NC, Alabama Gas Co., Alabama Gas Co. in Montgomery, AL, Union Mutual Life Insurance Co in Denver, CO, and Solmonson & Halperin Real Estate in San Rafael, CA. I did not work at Clark AFB, Philippines, Southern Airways in Eglin AFB, FL and back to Virginia Beach in 1970. I divorced shortly after that and remarried in 1972 to Jim Pace. I went to work for the U.S Government Accounting Office (GAO) in 1984 and retired in 2006 as Administrative Officer for the Norfolk Office. Jim Pace died of cancer in 2001. I married Jim Bishop in 2005 and we had big plans to buy a place in Florida and do a lot of traveling and just enjoy life. He was diagnosed with cancer in July 2006 and passed away in August.

I have one son Chris Pace who is married to Jennifer and they have three beautiful children. They are Chandler (12), Austin (9) and Macy (6). My grandchildren are my life and I spend a lot of time with them. I also have done a little traveling in the last 4 years and plan to do much more in the future.
