Al Boyd:

I graduated from Old Dominion University in 1965 with a degree in Health and Physical Education and taught elementary and middle school for over 37 years with Norfolk Public Schools. The last seven years with Norfolk Schools I worked as a teacher specialist.

In August 1964 I married Sandra Gayle Cheek and we have been together for the last 46 years. We have two sons, Brent and Michael, and both are married with two children each. Brent’s family lives in Columbia, SC while Michael’s lives in Stuttgart, Germany.

Gayle and I live in the Great Bridge area of Chesapeake, VA, and are members of Great Bridge Baptist Church. We are both active in our church and enjoy our retirement with family, friends and travel.
