Jeep Bryant:
I am retired from a 32-year career as physicist/engineer
with Hoechst Celanese Corp. (Celgard for advanced
batteries) and live with wife, Nancy, on a farm (3 Eagles Sanctuary) south of
Albemarle, NC on the Pee Dee River. The farm
is permanently protected through a conservation easement with the Landtrust for Central NC and it includes agricultural
fields, wildlife field borders, forests, beaver ponds and wetlands. I recently canoed nine days and 180 river
miles from the farm to Georgetown, SC on the coast, Tom Sawyer style.
I was founding chair of the Catawba RiverKeeper,
Inc. and am founder/advisor of the Yadkin – Pee Dee RiverKeeper,
Inc. (Re: Boys State --- “Bull Moose Party” activists live on J). In addition to farm and many other
environmental activities together with Nancy, I am involved in church
ministries, including the Via de Cristo movement, and
recently served on a Kairos prison ministry team.
