Carolyn Eddy:

Thanks to the Miss Virginia and Miss America scholarships, I was able to complete my B.A. in English at ODU, graduate from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City and then pursue a brief (fie year) acting career in New York and Hollywood appearing on several TV series such as “The Courtship of Eddie’s Father,” Mod Squad,” and “The FBI” and on national tours with Sylvia Sydney and Buddy Epsen. After marriage to my first husband and the birth of my two children, JB and Robin, in Los Angeles, we lived for seven years in Latin America: sic months in Peru, two years in Honduras and four years in Panama – a wonderful multi-cultural experience!

Back in Virginia after a divorce and single-parenthood, I began my career with Norfolk Public Schools as an English and Drama teacher and later as a middle school guidance counselor. Now happily married for 22 years to my second husband, Bill, we have traveled extensively within the U.S., Mexico, Europe, South America and China enjoying every moment of adventure! My son JB is a forester with the U.S. Forest Service in Harrisonburg, VA and has finally produced my first grandchild, beautiful baby Liam! My daughter Robin lives and works in L.A. aspiring to make documentary films. Since retirement three years ago, I’m quite involved with Garden Club activities and the Chrysler Museum as a docent which I love! I also avidly collect antiques and vintage buttons with which I create one-of-a-kind jewelry pieces!!
