Meade Fowlkes:

1960-64 USMCR. 1964-88 USN: Flew F4 Phantoms, Viet Nam 67 USS Forrestal, Flight Instructor NAS Key West. 1967 married Susan McKown (PAHS 1962). We have two children and three grandchildren. 1972-73 I taught math at Princess Anne High School. 1973-82 Air Traffic Control Specialist, Charlottesville, VA, Atlanta, GA and Atlantic City, NJ. 1982-95 Operations Research Analyst, NAS Oceana. On the Admiral's staff managing the only Tactical Aviation Computer System for the entire Navy. 1996-97 Operations Research Analyst, COMOPTEVFOR Norfolk. 1998-2000 Operations Research Analyst, Langley AFB.

 

Greatest Job: 2001-07 Driving a 48' tour boat and leading hikes in Glacier National Park.

Greatest and easiest task 1967- Present, married to Susie. Favorite Hobby: Trumpet. Played in many orchestras including the Cherry Hill Wind Symphony, the Atlanta Civic Orchestra, Symphonic Artistry, ODU Jazz Ensemble, and the UVA Orchestra with the faculty of Julliard. Many shows and events in local area. Played at the Waldorf Astoria  and with names such as Ellis Marsallis, Randy Brecker, Clark Terry,  Al Gray, Terrell Stafford. Enjoyment: Travel to Switzerland, England, British Virgin Islands. Most exciting:  Flying upside down at 1600 mph or at 70,000 feet in a space suit in a F4 Phantom
