Gladys Garrett:

In 1959 I married Linwood Diggs (the “boy down the street”) and we began our life together. Upon graduation from Princess Anne in 1960, I became employed as a bookkeeper with Virginia Electric and Power Company and later became a secretary for an insurance company. Linwood and I were blessed with two fine children – a son and a daughter – and then with two grandchildren – a grandson and a granddaughter. Linwood died in 2004 at the age of 66 from ALS. Even though he died young, he and I enjoyed being grandparents and “being young again” with the activities that our grandchildren brought into our lives. In continue to enjoy them very much. I still live in the Thalia area and driving by PAHS brings back many wonderful memories of high school days gone by.
