Linda Ledermann:
Maybe I am one of the few in our class “not exactly retired”
– actually too busy. I work full time as a nurse practitioner in a hospice
organization. I serve as a public, elected official in Lee County, Florida, and
my husband Bob Meisenheimer and I (mostly
he) own and operate a McDonalds restaurant. Active
involvement in St. Lukes Anglican /Episcopal Church
is a vital part of our lives.
In 1991 I earned a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree
from Florida Atlantic University as a nurse practitioner and I
have been an RN since 1977. Since graduating from PAHS, I have lived in
Ecuador, Argentina and Brazil. I speak Spanish like a native, and function well
in Portuguese. This has been more useful than I ever imagined!
I have served on the Board of Directors for the
Lee Memorial Health System since 2000, as Chairman for 4 years. We are a public system with 5
hospitals on 4 campuses.
From 1989 to 2002 I was in the U.S. Navy Reserve Nurse Corps
attaining the rank of Lieutenant Commander.
With 4 grown children and 7 grandchildren, we look
forward to slowing down a bit. Fishing, travel and bridge will be
fun. Our 24' Born Free RV can take us from Florida to Alaska again.
