Gene Maxey:

I am retired and living in Williamsburg, Virginia enjoying golf, traveling and family and following the Virginia Tech Hokies. In 2007 I retired as Director of Materials Management with The Colonial Williamsburg Foundation, Williamsburg, VA. I served twenty years in USAF; retired as a LtCol in 1987.

 

Wife: Married Jeanne Strassel in 1970, Indiana University Graduate. Children: Daughter Laura, Va. Tech 1995 Grad - currently Graphic Designer, Richmond, VA

 

I spent eighteen years as a Director with the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation in various Procurement and Materials Management positions. LtCol, United States Air Force (Retired), Sep 1987; Combat Command Hq, Langley Air Force Base , Hampton, Va. Military Service: US Air Force as Logistics Officer. Key Assignments: TAC Hq, Langley AFB, Va. (Staff & IG team); USAFE Hq, Ramstein, Germany; AAFCE (NATO) Ramstein, Germany; MAAG (Taiwan); SEA Korat, Thailand 1966-67; Upper Heyford, UK; Munich, Germany.

 

Education: After Princess Anne I attended Virginia Tech. I graduated in 1964 with B.S. in Business. In 1964 I was commissioned in the USAF from Va. Tech Corp of Cadets ROTC program. In the USAF I completed Squadron Officers School; Air Command & Staff College; Industrial War College plus numerous logistics courses. I continued my education with the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation.
