In business since 1985 at Barry's on Walnut Island Restaurant, Lodge, Sport Center, Grandy ,NC www.walnutisland.com. Taught high school in Currituck County, Marine Biology, Oceanography, and Chemistry. Officiate High School Wrestling throughout the state of NC. Still living on Kelly Lane, Poplar Branch, NC

Won County Commissioner Election in 2006 and twice elected chairman of the board. Voted the Best Board of Commissioners in North Carolina in 2007 by the State Board of Education.

Appointed to the Albermarle Commission - Presently serving as Chairman of the 10 county Northeast Region .

After 17 yrs of being single, met Donna in Ocala, Florida and were married in November 2009. We took a long honeymoon riding Harleys in New Zealand and Australia.

Accomplished a life long desire to dive  on the Great Barrier Reef, we loved it. Visited the surfing beaches of Ragland, NZ and Byron's Bay, Australia...great beer drinking county it is! Lion Red in NZ is the best. Finished with a week on a private island in Fiji.

Acquired two additional daughters and added 6 grandchildren to our clan. My two daughters are doing great, Nicole is married and works in Kill Devil Hills, and Kelly B. doing great managing a Hollywood clothing design business in Newport Beach, California.

I  hold two motorcycle charity events: The OBX Bike Week in the spring which benefits the Naval Special Warfare Foundation at Little Creek (Navy Seals) www.northcarolinabikeweek.com and in the fall-- Outer Banks Bike Show  www.outerbanksbikeshow.com which benefits Victory Junction Gang Camp (a camp for terminally ill children in Randleman, NC).
