Gene had “one year of college and a lot of hands-on learning experience.” She and her husband Claude have 7 children, Caroline, Joseph, Diana, Mary, Matthew, Keith and John. Gene’s comments: “Since meeting my husband, my interests have turned to sports, if you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em. Season tickets to the Tidewater Tides, season tickets to the ODU basketball games, football and, of course, my husband is a Pro, Golf…(spectator only). I still like to read in my spare time…Ha Ha.”
